Query with Confidence
A half-day, hands-on training program covering all aspects of iMIS queries - for first-tine query writers to experienced users looking to deepen their knowledge and share query writing expertise with others in their organization. This training is structured into 5 sections:
Section 1 - Getting Started
This is focused on new users and uses repetition to build muscle memory of the steps to building a query and a review of the tabs and their purpose.
Section 2 - Choosing the Right Business Object
This section not only answers the question 'what should I use to query x or y information?' but it also teaches you about a few business objects you should know about and likely don't.
Section 3 - Understanding Joins
Joins are one of the most difficult things to master. This section demystifies joins and helps you write queries that always pull the right information AND that help your dashboards perform better.
Section 4 - Filters and Dynamic Filters
Learn about dynamic filters and how to use them to keep your data fresh. Master using multiple conditions and how to build them so that you get only the data you need.
Section 5 - Displays and Mastering Your Query Outputs
We cover everything from building links into queries, updating alias', how to group and perform calculations in your queries and, how to format dates and numbers.
